Founder & Director

The Heart Behind the Movement

Betsi Cate Gaecke is the creator of Power of Positive Dance and the former director of the dance program at Creekside Park Junior High. With years of experience teaching dancers from toddlers through high school, she brings unmatched energy and infectious enthusiasm to every class and intensive she leads.

A proud graduate of the Dance Science program at Texas A&M University, Mrs. G goes beyond teaching steps — she teaches dancers how their bodies work, how to move safely, and how to build a practice that lasts a lifetime.

Above all, she believes the studio should be a place of radical joy. Her motto says it all: "We don't do negativity here!"

Our Mission

Why We Dance

Improving the world of dance through
dance science, safety, and positivity.

Every intensive, every class, every choreography session is guided by this mission. When dancers feel safe, supported, and celebrated, they grow beyond what they ever thought possible.

Teaching Philosophy

What We Believe

01
Science-Backed Movement

Every dancer deserves to know how their body works so they can dance smarter, not just harder — grounded in anatomy and biomechanics.

02
Safety as a Foundation

Injury prevention is woven into everything we do. Proper warm-ups, alignment correction, and rest are treated as seriously as performance.

03
Relentless Positivity

We create an environment where every dancer feels genuinely celebrated for who they are and where they're going — negativity has no place here.

04
Crazy Amounts of Fun

Dance is joy made visible. Our classes are high-energy, full of laughter, and designed to remind every dancer why they fell in love with movement.
